From Our School Counselor
- Summer means fun in the sun. Unfortunately, we sometimes forget how quickly the sun can turn our skin beet red. I urge you to protect yourself and your children from over exposure to the sun. Dermatologists recommend sunscreens that block both UVA and UVB rays and have at least a SPF 15 rating. Remember that damage from the sun is cumulative and often doesnt show up until adulthood.Bike safety is also something to consider with the warmer weather. Helmets can be a life saver and are available for free from the Marietta City Health Department. For information call 373-0611 or 376-7081.
I hope this will be a great summer for you and your family. I look forward to seeing many of you during the summer months. Feel free to call me at 678-2020 if I can be of service.
